THANKSGIVING BREAK!!!!!

Wow, guys! It is already Thanksgiving time! I have been impatiently awaiting this time for many reasons:

1) Thanksgiving Break! I get to go home guys. HOME! The place I haven't been to since August! I really, really, really need to go home. I'm starting to loose myself down here. I need to go back to my roots and reconnect with everyone before I float away to the milky way. Plus, I'm starting to miss Benjamin, so you got to know I've been away for far too long if I'm missing him too! (Love you bub!)

2) The Semester is two weeks away from ending! Plus most of my classes finished within the last two weeks, so I only have my jury for voice and two finals to worry about! But let me tell you that these last two weeks have been torturous! I have had THREE huge projects to complete and it is quite a miracle I still have some hair left from all the stress I put myself under. However, I have to memorize about 5 songs over break, so that's a little discouraging, but lets be honest......I will probably wait until the last minute to do that too.

3) Grandma's Cooking!!! Let me remind you that I have not been home since August, so I have practically been starving very Sunday as Grandma's house is 7 hours away! Now, props to Aunt Bobbie, Aunt Vickie and Grandma Kingston to feeding me chili two Sundays ago. It was extremely delicious! However, I still can't wait until I can eat some of Grandma Joan's cooking.

4) I get to spend a Sunday in the body of believers that know me best. This is important to me. I have found a church down here, but I will always remember Bethel as the church that raised me. I am also really excited to go to Sunday School, which is something I don't go to here. Todd always does a good job of finding topics to discuss that make me think and expand my knowledge. Also we both love to argue, so it works out really well for the both of us. (So I just found out Todd doesn't teach the college Sunday School class anymore, but despite this sad news, I am still looking forward Sunday School.) Plus, I get to help lead the song service with Mandi. Something I always look forward to whenever I go home.

5) Breakfast with the family. This is something that my family has tried to do every school day morning for the past five years or so. And this next week I will be cooking the meal! Quite honestly, my family should really be scared seeing as how I'm more of an experimentalist in the kitchen than an actual cook, but I will try my best to make some scrumptious breakfast!

6) My Dad's hugs. My Mom's time. Benjamin's laugh. Tony's humor. I miss them and I am literally itching to get home. Like really I'm itching all over, I might have a rash.

7) Deer Meat! Shot out to Dad who killed a deer this last week!!!! So now I get to eat some awesome deer meat. Now Benjamin needs to kill one while I'm home, so I can have the joy of smelling the raw meet and help with packaging it! No joke, I associate the smell of deer meat with the holidays and it has become one of my favorite smells.

8) Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. And more Sleep.

9) Did I mention I get to go HOME?

10) I can't think of anymore, but I couldn't end the list as nine so this one is for you. Why do you love Thanksgiving time??

Love ya and God Bless!

Some Day

NEWS FLASH: MOLLY KINGSTON WAS SPOTTED OUTSIDE OF HER TRAILER BEFORE NOON TODAY!! AND WHAT IS MORE, SHE WENT SHOPPING WITH A BLAIR COURTNEY AND AN ALESHA HUGHES! NEXT WE WILL TALK ABOUT THE POSSIBLITY OF THE EXISTENCE OF DRAGONS IN JAPAN!

...........Yes, its true. I actually left my trailer and did something with real live people today. AND I SURVIVED. Now, honestly this may not sound like a big deal to most, if not all of you, but trust me when I say that for me this is a huge accomplishment. Especially the getting out of bed before noon part. The college and unemployed life is treating me well on Fridays and Saturday, so its not unusual for my bed to remain occupied the better part of the day. Or in my opinion, the worst part of the day, because I am a creature of the night. (Insert sparkling vampire picture here).

Although I immensely enjoyed my time out on the town with the girls, the highlight of my day had to be the Chinese food and my private jam out session in the choir room. I understand and respect that not everyone likes Chinese food, but you must also understand that it is my shining light of happiness in this dark, evil world. When I imagine what Heaven will be like, I see Jesus holding His arms out to me with a plate filled with General Tso's Chicken, Lo Mein, Egg and Veggie Rolls, Crab Rangoon, and some Sushi for a little bit of Japan ingenuity. You laugh, but I'm serious. God gave us Chinese food so that we could have a taste of Heaven while on Earth.

To keep me from drooling a puddle on my keyboard, lets talk about my jam session. If anyone had been in the Copper Building by the choir room, they would have been given quite a show. It is really fortunate that not many students use the practice rooms when I do, because they would know that I truly am insane. Many people talk to themselves, but I hold full conversations with myself, laugh at my own jokes (ones that no one else understands) and speak in thousands of different voices. What makes it worse is that sometimes half of the conversation stays in my head, so anyone that over hears me may think that I'm on the phone, but when they see no one else with me, they become beyond confused. Which causes my to laugh maliciously at their facial expression, sending them running for their lives......... This may be why I'm single..... Oh well!

Anyways, most of my jam session was me playing hymns for services on Sunday accompanied by my crazed speaking and laughing. However, it got really real real quick when I started making up lullabies for my unborn children. Now, again this is slightly bizarre, but my dad used to sing me a song that he made up when I was born and I always loved when he sang it. So, tonight I tossed around some lyrics and melodies for my own children's lullabies. I cried. I won't lie, the emotions that the songs stirred were deep and painful, yet hopeful. It may not be God's will to bless me with children, but until I know that is truly the plan, I will keep trucking along like I'll be a mother in the future.

I am a little hesitant to do this, because I messed up a few times, but I recorded myself playing and singing the Bluegrass song Some Day. I made this on a whim, so like I said, its not perfect, but I hope you enjoy it none the less. I'll leave the link below! Love ya and God Bless!

Unfortunately I Am NOT Dead

Hello strangers! Wow is has been MONTHS since I posted anything. Now before anyone starts freaking out about the title, I only say unfortunately, because if I was dead I would be in heaven. No other reason, I promise! This year has been hard, but not that hard. Praise The Lord! Honestly, I really didn't plan on writing anymore on this blog because I can't think of anything to write that's not complaining about homework, music lessons or crowded rooms. So, I apologize now if this more of a pity party than an enthralling read, but I will try my best to write an enthralling pity party.

My second year at CBC started August 21 (I think) and so far it's been a train wreck both on and off campus. Nothing major, just a bunch of tiny things that add up to create a sizable thorn in my side. But, on the sunny side, the weather the last two days has been absolutely princess perfect. One could wear an 1800s princess dress with sash, ribbons, bows and all, but be neither too hot nor too cold. Not that I would actually know, I just wanted to find new and interesting way to describe the weather. I am quite pleased with this result, quite pleased indeed.

The worship choir and CBC Singers had our first concert today in Searcy, AR at Park Avenue Baptist Church. Everything went well and the church seemed to enjoy the music, so I would say it was successful. The most important part of the service though, was when the church served us pizza. The Lord's presence was truly felt most strongly, as our gullets were being stuffed with Earth's version of manna. Thank You, Lord Jesus for the Italians!

There's is so much I want to write about yet so little to tell! I really want to write a poem, but I just don't know if I want to expend the energy on finding a rhyme scheme and subject. I want to talk about school, but  it would turn into complaining, it always does. I want to talk about church, but I'm pretty sure everyone knows everything I would have to say. I want to talk about friends and family, but they are the ones reading this, so that would be pointless. I want to talk about my boyfriend, but that....wait... that's right I DON'T HAVE ONE! Do you see my dilemma here? (I'm only slightly bitter about the boyfriend thing, only slightly.)

So, I just took a break from writing for a few minutes to check Facebook which was a major mistake, because now I hate myself even more and my music is playing a very sad version of jingle bells! Excuse me while I wallow in self-pity..sob...sob...blows nose like a trumpet...sniffle.... Alright I'm fine now. Well, this is probably one of the longest posts I have ever written when I wasn't describing a day on a major trip. I am content to stop here, but before I go I shall write you a song.

*music begins playing*

Oh oh oh oh
Woah oh oh oh
oh oh

I saw a cloud today
But it was sunny hey
I saw a cloud today
Until it floated away

Do you ever see a cloud
And wish you were a fish
Do you ever see a cloud
And stop to drink a pop

Oh oh oh oh
Woah oh oh oh
oh oh

I saw a tree today
But in a meadow yay
I saw a tree today
Until it walked away

Do you ever see a tree
And wish you had a dish
Do you ever see a tree
And stop to spin a top

Oh oh oh oh
Woah oh oh oh
oh oh

Don't you think cloud and trees
Could be friends with fish and tops
But clouds and trees never stay long
So they never meet the fish or tops
Oh so sad, oh its so sad

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Woah oh oh oh oh oh
oh oh oh oh Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I saw a cloud today
With a tree today
But they didn't stay
When I shouted hey, yay

Oh oh oh ohhhhhhhhhh

*music slowly fades*

This is a contemporary ballad written in response to the problems found in our society today. If you wish to purchase it, I will gladly record myself singing it and email it to you with no specific melody, accompanied by a cacophony of sounds from a piano, drums and one string from a guitar. Thank you for reading my blog today, I hope its been enlightening. Love ya and God Bless!

Puerto Rico!!!

(View of right out of the airport)
So for this years spring break I am in Puerto Rico!! The CBC choir is here for a mission trip until Friday. It has been quite a trip already. The drive to Dallas and the flight to Puerto Rico was rather uneventful, except for a unexpected gate change at the airport. However, since we landed on this beautiful island, we have been busy almost nonstop. To much of our fustration, the van rental place only had two vans available instead of the three we had reserved. This caused us to wait outside the airport for about two hours and 45 minutes. As you might guess this was very unpleasant. After traveling all day in cramped spaces and then having to wait in slightly humid weather sitting on concete, I had a hard time remaining happy. But after those two and 45 minutes of torture, we were able to drive to a restaurant for dinner. For my first meal at Puerto Rico, it was very satisfying. It was a sandwich place called El Meson and I had a turkey and roast beef sandwich and fries. Now I know this doesn't sound all that Puerto Rican, but there were some difference in the type in the bread and the condiments. The thing that I really like was there was something kin to cole slaw on the sandwich. Now this again may be something that is not special to Puerto Rico, but who cares, it was delicious. I have now, though, had two meals that were Puerto Rican. Both the churches we went to today fed us a plate with a salad made of lettuce and a tomato, a helping of rice and of meat. The first church served chicken and the second served a plantain lasagna. Plus the first church served a delicious dessert that I now have the recipe to!! I will try my best to make it when I get home. All of it was amazing and I can't wait until we sing at the other churches! The food is not the only amazing thing here. The people that we have met have all been extremely loving and happy. That is one thing I really noticed, is that everyone is smiling and laughing. It really is relaxing to watch them interact with each other and others from our group. And yes, that means I'm not being very talkive, but I do try to talk to those that approach me. I am very discouraged by the language barrier. Everyone gives their best to overcome it and many succeed, but it just freaks me out that I'll do or say something stupid, so I stay quiet. Anyways, I am now at the hotel getting ready to fall into a deep sleep to get ready for our first trip to the beach!!!!! Super excited! XP I will try to update everyday with the lowdown on what's going on down here in Puerto Rico. But I want everyone to know that even though I am enjoying this trip, I'm extremely home stick. I love traveling, but going back home is always the most enjoyable part. Love ya and God Bless!!

they allow to burn and it stops
                        on it's own)

I'm tired. What about you?

I don't really have much to say, just felt I should write something so you know I'm still alive. This year is proving to be quite tiring and busy. But that's life, may it go on. I had a very interesting dream the other day during my nap. (Yes I take naps and yes I skipped class to take it sorry) It was weird because it was like I was watching myself live my life, while also living it. During it all of the people I went to high school with starting walking past me in a group. I continued walking against them in the opposite direction asking them what they were doing, but never getting a response. When everyone had past I became discouraged and got on a train to get out of town. The peculiar thing about that is that while I was getting on the train an older woman was talking telling me that if I leave I can never come back. As the train was pulling out I saw a man riding a gold cart and I had an urge to get off and chase him, but I couldn't get off the train. Then I saw another woman run after him. The end of the dream was that older woman speaking a proverb about live. It was really weird and has made me curious if my subconscious is trying to tell me something. Although I have no clue what that could possibly be. Well I'm signing off to go read manga! Love ya and God bless.

Poor Lizzie

So, ever since I took Lizzie (one of my porcelain dolls) to church one night she has been feared, hated and threated to be cruelly disposed of. However, her existence was never as endangered as it is now that I posted her picture on Facebook. Since I think its fun I play along, laughing evilly at people when they say she is creepy and egg it on by posting more pictures and mentioning her in conversations. Lizzie has really become infamous at CBC, especially with the singers and choir students. Many of the girls have told me their attack plans if they ever meet Lizzie in person. Some have even said that they would break into my house to destroy my Lizzie. Recently, Mr. Tuner asked if I was going to bring Lizzie with me to Puerto Rico, to which I responded with an evil grin and bright eyes. Before I could reply, though, multiple people shouted their displeasure of the idea. Through out the week, threats on Lizzie's existence have increased drastically and the disposal methods have become even more malicious. So far, if I take her to Puerto Rico, Lizzie will either be thrown off the plane, tossed into the ocean, smashed on a palm tree, dropped off the mountain, chopped, burned, fed to rabid dogs, fed to sharks, or all of the above. Needless to say I will not be taking Lizzie to Puerto Rico (not that she was going is the first place!). Silly thing is all of these threats have started to bother me. I know they shouldn't, but I treasure Lizzie, so it hurts when people can't see that. I love kidding with people on how they thinks she is Chucky's mother, wife or whatever, but I want them to realize I don't see her that way and respect that.

All right, rant is over! Needed to say that though cause it was wearing me down. A quick thought before I sign out. Last night Jordan peached an amazing sermon at First Baptist Church in Damascus on Psalms 62:1 "O God, thou my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is." Jordan used this verse along with others to explain how a Christian is to yearn for God and draw close to Him. Although I loved his sermon, the thought that stuck in my mind the most was from nothing he said, but the part of the verse that says "early will I seek thee." I have heard this verse all my life and usually it went along with a conversation or sermon on daily devotionals. Not being a morning person, I do not like this statement at all, why do I have to wake up extra early to have a devotional? I would wake up to read, but not remember anything because I was still sleepy or feel asleep again while reading. So I would tell myself I'll do it in the evening. This worked for a while, but eventually I stopped doing that as well. Now I know that many people successfully have a daily devotion before bed, but last night I realized why David sought after God early in the morning. It was because David longed more than anything to be with God that it was the first thought on his mind the moment he woke up. He didn't seek God in the morning cause it was the best time, but because David didn't want to start his day without saying a good hearty good morning to the Creator. David prayed and mediated in the morning because his love of and for God was so strong that he didn't have anything else he wanted to do more after waking. Then I realized the reason why I hate the idea of a morning devotional is because I don't love God enough. I pray that I may have such a love for God that I no longer see a morning devotional as an option, but rather as an opportunity to begin my day in God's presence.

Love ya and God Bless from Lizzie and me!

Sometimes I Just Can't Contain It

NEWS FLASH!!! I am a crazy loony. I do cazy stuff. I do stupid stuff. I do annoying stuff. When I was younger, I quickly learned that what I enjoy doing and how I naturally act drives people crazy and mad. So, in order to keep friends I repressed my craziness, in fact I almost became a hermit. Doing this is what created my multiple personalities and habit of talking to myself. I do a pretty good job of maintaining my image of relative sanity, but every once in a while it slips and my craziness explodes!!! For this I apologize, but you know what, sometimes I just wanna say "You are too sane! Go crazy!!" Alright. I'm done ranting now. I have reclaimed my sanity. Just can't wait till I can get home and go wild again.

Genesis 1:1

You know, I am almost always complaining about the weather. In the summer I complain about the heat, in the fall I complain about cold wind, in the winter I complain about the snow, and in the spring I complain about the rain. I never fail to find something to complain about concerning the weather. It's not only me though, so many times people complain about the weather on Facebook/twitter posts and during conversations, that the subject of weather has become rather mundane. However, there are those few days of the year where I can't find one aspect of the weather to complain about. Such as warm days accompanied with a cool breeze, a mellow sky with a light rainfall, a cool, windy fall day colored by bright leaves, or a flurry of snow falling to cover the ground to later reflect the sun's light. Now, I have also come to find how beautiful ice makes the trees, grass, and other flora it covers when under the light of a morning sun. Those days are my favorites and have become a reminder of how great my God is. When talking about bad circumstances in our life we commonly say, "Everything happens for a reason" and "God is in control." That also goes for the weather! Everything we love and hate about the weather was created by God and is being manipulated by Him everything second. This fact is stated and restated throughout the Bible and is made evident in the fact that all we see cannot have been a product of chance because of the intrinsic detail of every living and nonliving thing. "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" (Genesis 1:1) and "God saw that it was good" (Genesis 1:10). If our Lord God Creator thought that ALL of His creation was good, then who are we to say that the weather an exception? With this thought in mind, I'm going to start making an effort not to complain about the weather as much. What about you?

Love ya and God Bless!

Time

I really have nothing to talk about even though I haven't posted for over a week. School is in full swing now, so I pretty much attend class, eat and sleep. Nothing exciting is happening just yet, but I don't believe it will be this quiet for long. I hope and pray that everyone reading this was blessed with an amazing January and looking forward to February in this new year. The passing of time is such an awe-inspiring thing. Its one of the few things that are constant in this unpredictable world of ours. It was created for our existence, a blessing from our Creator to help us keep track of our lives. Time organizes our past, records our present, and advances towards our future. Unfortunately, it is very easy to miss-use this blessing. Some pay little attention to time and miss life changing chances, while some pay too much attention and run past precious times. Make sure you keep a nice steady pace while living this year. Always be moving forward, but never at a speed where you can't enjoy the scenery God has blessed you with. Love you all so much! God bless!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (KJV)

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Why Does This Happen??!!

Yes, the apocalypse may be approaching because this is the third post I have posted within a weeks time. Doom and destruction are sure to follow. However, before we all die in the inferno, I would like to lament about my sleeping patterns. During break I allowed myself to totally wreck my body's internal clock by staying up til 5, then sleeping at least til noon. But now that school has started again I can't do that. It has been horrible trying to get back into a normal sleeping pattern. For the last few days I've stayed up until 12 then after a descent sleep awoke at 7:30 or so. Today, though, I had nothing that needed to be done after school. So after a meal and some time on Vine, Facebook and Pinterest, I headed to bed at the beautiful time of 6:30 pm. I thought that this would make up for the hours of sleep I had lost to Doctor Who the nights before and leave me well rested for the day to come. Much to my displeasure though, I woke up with a light headache at 10:10 pm...... 10?..... IT WAS ONLY 10??!! I was not happy that I had only managed to get less than 4 hours of sleep before I woke, in fact I was furious. I could have watched Doctor Who! Anyways, since 10 I've been on my phone trying to kill time until I felt tired again and after checking out all of my other social media apps I figured I would write a post. Hope everyone is having a better night than I am! Love ya and God bless!

Better Days

Well hello there! So, I fear that many of you are concerned about my mental stability because of the last post. I am writing again this week to reassure you that I'm fine. Just a little of the back to school blues and since school also sends me 7 hours away from my Missouri home, I discovered a new level of the blues. At least I never stopped talking to myself, that would have been a sign of earth's approaching demise. Nothing to worry about though, I'll be back to my whacked out self in no time. Writing posts about rodent portals, knitting, Christmas trees, old ladies, boys and what have you. So no one need to fear, twas only a passing bout. Love ya and God Bless!!

A Sunny Day With Rainy Feelings

If you are wondering what happened to me over Christmas break since I haven't updated, its simply that I was home. I have found that when I'm home in Missouri I don't like to post any blogs or Facebook statuses because the only reason I do such is because I wish to keep my family up to date on events in my life. So when I'm with them I can just tell them what I wish to tell them instead of writing a blog or statuses. However, I understand that not just my family reads these, so if you have been on needles waiting for an update this past month (which I highly doubt anyone was) I'm very sorry. Believe me when I tell you though that I love that other people than my family reads these blogs. Thank you so much!

This has been my first week back to Arkansas and school. I have never been overly excited to go back to school, but this semester I find my spirits to be depleted before school has even properly started. Which is ridiculous! This semester holds so much fun for me, performing in Showboat, choir trip to Puerto Rico, Singers trip to Missouri, but none of it excites me like it should. I have even come to hate how much time I have to sleep (CRAZY!!!!! XO), because it means I have nothing to do! I miss home. I miss everyone. And forgive me for being a weirdo, but I miss the cemetery! So pray for me because I have been sitting at home (in Arkansas) moping around like a lost puppy today.

Alright the waterworks are over! Sorry for the real life talk, but you should have seen it coming with the title being all sad and whatnot. It probably doesn't help that the last five or so Doctor Who episodes I've watched have been sort of depressing. Not sure how many Whovians (hope I spelled that right) read this blog so I won't go into detail, but let me just say this. I feel like the show has given me wings to fly in the sky only to be hit by an airplane. Then I am caught in mid-air by a cloud, however, the cloud turns into a thunderstorm and I'm fried by lighting. Just when I think I can finally rest in peace and die, I am revived. But then shot twice in the heart and once in the head, only to wake up to the sound of the Doctor crying and tortured forever by the sight and sound of his tears..... It's been a rough few days.

To go along with the last paragraph I felt I should share this poem I have been working on off and on for the last three years. Its not much considering how long I have been working on it, but I hope you enjoy nonetheless!

The Circle of Life

I've hit rock bottom
I've been down and out
I've bitten the dust
I've walked the valley
I've gotten down on luck
I've hit the skids
I've crashed and burned
But Now
I'm floating on cloud nine
I'm the winner
I'm biting true gold
I'm standing on the mountain top
I'm turning up roses
I'm hitting the jackpot
I'm on the red carpet
Because now I'm dead

I feel I must apologize for this blog because it's sad and morbid, but so goes life down the drain of who cares.

Love ya and God Bless!!!

Please know this is just a funny!!!!
